چکیده
Authors analyze the characteristics of the stage pT1 and pT2 colorectal cancer and carry their experience on 68 patients operated. The survival of the colon carcinoma has been of 91% to 2 years and 88% to 5 years, while for the rectum has been of 90% to 2 years and 84% to 5 years. The attitude of the Authors has been to perform radical surgery. Lymph node metastases has been taken like only survival predictive factor while the CEA has diagnostic value of recurrence.

N-cadherin as a novel prognostic marker of progression in superficial urothelial tumors.
PURPOSE Loss of intercellular adhesion and increased cell motility promote tumor cell invasion and spreading. In bladder cancer, loss or reduced E-cadherin expression has been associated with poor survival, and aberrant expression of N-cadherin has been associated with the invasive phenotype of bladder carcinoma cells. The purpose of this study was to investigate whether N-cadherin expression w...
متن کاملLong-Term Prognostic Performance of Ki67 Rate in Early Stage, pT1-pT2, pN0, Invasive Breast Carcinoma
BACKGROUND Molecular signatures may become of use in clinical practice to assess the prognosis of breast cancers. However, although international consensus conferences sustain the use of these new markers in the near future, concerns remain about their degree of discordance and cost-effectiveness in different international settings. The present study aims to validate Ki67 as prognostic factor i...
متن کاملAnalysis of lymph node metastatic pattern according to the depth of in-growth in the muscularis propria in T2 rectal cancer for lateral lymph node dissection.
BACKGROUND/AIMS The biological behavior of rectal cancers that invade the muscularis propria (pT2) has not been well studied. We retrospectively studied the pattern of lymph node metastases in patients with T2 rectal cancer. METHODS We enrolled 88 patients who had undergone curative resection of T2 colorectal cancer through mesorectal excision and lateral pelvic lymph node dissection; we micr...
متن کاملHistopathological Evaluation and Analysis of Immunohistochemical Expression of Bcl-2 Oncoprotein in Colorectal Carcinoma
Abstract Introduction: Colorectal cancer is the third most prevalent malignancy with high mortality rate, necessitating markers that predict survival and guide the treatment. Previous studies have examined the immunohistochemical expression of Bcl-2, an apoptotic marker, in colorectal carcinoma, but results have been contradictory. Objectives: To evaluate the histopathological featu...
